In her time at MSU, Mikayla participated in undergraduate research. She was a first-generation college student and plans to be the first doctor in her family.
After graduating in May 2019, Mikayla began working on a Ph.D. in Microbiology at UAB.
Mikayla said of her time with SI, "Being an SI Leader allowed me to impact the lives of many students and gain valuable work experience for graduate school."
